    Downloads HOME HARDWARE MOTORIZED ROLLER CONVEYOR Motorized Roller Conveyor Motorized roller conveyor is used in distribution, fulfillment and manufacturing for tote, tray, and case handling applications, often when interfacing with automation equipment, teammate workstations, flexibility is needed, the most energy efficient system is desired or non-contacting product flow solution is preferred. MDR System Overview MDR technology is the fastest growing conveyor technology since the advent of the line-shaft conveyor in the late '60s. Trew’s design provides the benefits of MDR with the widest range of standard modules. All Electric – 24VDC design Less Power – uses 30-50% less energy Quiet – run on demand with low noise Modular – flexible solutions and layouts Flexibility – 20+ standard modules Fast – factory ready for fast installation Our MDR product line is highly versatile and easily configured with a wide range of pre-wired conveyor modules driven by 24VDC motorized drive rollers. MDR has a weight capacity of less than 75 lbs. and typically runs at speeds up to 180 FPM. Modules Controls MDR Straight Intermediate MDR Straight modules are available in a range of standard widths, lengths, roller spacing and zone lengths. Intermediates and are pre-wired for sections to be quickly installed and networked. All electric operation ensures a consistent and quiet system operation that is easy to maintain. Zero pressure accumulation is the standard operational mode. Motorized Roller - Modules MDR Curve MDR accumulating curve modules are available in 30º, 45º, 60º and 90º, with widths to match your application needs. Ultra-durable ribbed tapper rollers keep product in their preferred orientation and provide maximum traction and longevity. Pre-wired conveyor sections can be networked with adjacent module types and are easily configured. MDR Spur MDR Spur modules are a 30° spur that can be placed nearly anywhere on a new or preexisting system. Pre-mounted in-frame photo eyes are prewired and protected from product. No pneumatics required. The all 24VDC electric operation ensures a consistent and quiet system that is easy to maintain. MDR Spur Curve MDR Spur Curve modules provide a merge or sort transitions for tight spaces, transitioning a 30° spur through a curve for an effective angle of 45°. Pre-mounted in-frame photo eyes are prewired and protected from conveyed products. MDR Lift Gate MDR Lift Gate modules provide breaks in the conveyor line that are strategically placed for pedestrian or pushcart traffic. Typical gates consist of 36” and 48” pivot beds, adding a clear distance to a walkway. Other sizes and swing gates are available upon request. All lift gates come with gas springs to assist the user in moving the gate up or down. Pre-wired conveyor sections are networked with a variety of technologies and are easily configured for multiple applications. MDR Merge MDR Merge modules provide a 30° spur for merging to a mainline of conveyor at a rate of up to 40 cases per min. The units are modular and come preassembled as one unit (both spur and mainline). Built in and factory- mounted guard rail is included. Pre-mounted in-frame photo eyes are prewired. The all 24VDC electric operation ensures a consistent and quiet system that is easy to maintain. MDR Spiral Curve Spiral curve modules can be used as a stand-alone elevation change or combine to create an inclining or declining spiral, which allows for an elevation change of 9” from the infeed to the discharge of the curve in a small footprint. The pre-wired spiral curve module has built in zero pressure accumulation or can be networked together for PLC control, which enables full control and visibility of the network, which enables custom control and fully visible diagnostics. All electric operation ensures a consistent and quiet system that is easy to maintain. MDR Spiral MDR spirals enable major incline or decline elevation change in a small foot print. This allows height differences to be bridged while retaining a smooth flow of product. Built in zero pressure accumulation (ZPA) and polyurethane sleeves on the rollers come standard. Pre-wired modules can be networked with bus technology, which enables custom control and fully visible diagnostics. All electric operation ensures a consistent and quiet system that is easy to maintain. MDR Double Helix Spiral Save space and improve conveyor flow in your operation with motorized roller conveyor spirals. The Series 1500 double helix spirals provide smooth accumulation while making major incline and decline elevation changes in the same small footprint. Built-in zero pressure accumulation (ZPA) and polyurethane sleeved rollers come standard to ensure high density accumulation and that product conveys without slipping or toppling. Double Pick & Pass We help automate traditional pick and pass transfer applications with our new HCAT90 transfer unit design.
